CURTIS MEMORIAL LIBRARY RECEIVES CHARITY GRANT, MATCHING FUNDS
WHEATLAND (IOWA)
Curtis Memorial Library is the recipient of a $250 Iowa Network
Services (INS) Charity Grant, plus a $250 matching contribution
from F&B Communications, the local telecommunications provider
in Wheatland.
The grant funds will be used by Curtis Memorial Library to cover
moving and remodeling expenses as they relocate to a new location
on Main Street in Wheatland.
"The Library is a tremendous resource to the residents of Wheatland,
and we are proud to help support the Library's relocation effort,"
said Ken Laursen, F&B Communications general manager.
F&B Communications is one of 156 Iowa independent telephone
company member-owners of INS, which helps to provide advanced telecommunications
and data services. INS established the grant program to bring INS
closer to its member companies and customers.
"INS was created to provide quality telecommunications in these
communities," said INS President Richard M. Vohs. "The
Charity Grant Program is a way INS can help meet community needs."
F&B Communications
is the local telecommunications provider offering telephone, cable
television, digital broadcast satellite, dial-up Internet, high-speed
DSL Internet and wireless PCS services to customers in the Bennett,
Calamus, Delmar, Lowden and Wheatland exchanges and surrounding
areas.
The charity grant program is open to non-profit organizations in
the F&B Communications service area. Grant applications are
available at the business office in Wheatland.
